Description

Ambro-Sol is a multi-purpose acrylic paint manufactured in Italy for general use. With the cost of local and domestic paints like Rustoleum at an all time high, we decided to think outside the box. We were able to find a supplier of these fine paints at a decent price, and in turn we’re passing along the savings. These cans also take male caps (unlike Rusto). The valve system takes most Euro caps, and BOSTON CAPS, NY Thins and OG Rusto Fats are direct fit solutions with this paint (we recommend Boston caps most of all).

About the colors…we’re going to be honest:

Blacks – both Gloss and Matt cover well, similar to early 2000s Krylon (not claiming ultra flat black status but decent).

Whites – Gloss and Matt are OK. Not great for detail work, may be ok for highlights but probably better suited for fills and tags.

Faux Aluminum (contains no metallics) – covers well, dull finish. Pretty fun with a Boston Fat.

Best covering:

Light Blue, Gentian Blue, Fire Red, Nut Brown, Mint Green, Vair Grey. Light blue is the cream of the crop, Vair Grey gets last place out of this bunch.

Second tier coverage: 

Cadmium Yellow, Pure Orange, Yellow Green, Light Grey, Signal Brown.

Your purchase will come with a mix of Boston Thin and Fat caps (1 per can).
